Yes, it's true, this woman is naked and she is sitting on a horse with her legs apart. Try to see beyond the body. It could also be the symbol of a plant in full bloom.

Yes, you see, this woman is bleeding, without shame, without tampons or pads. But, try to see further than the blood that you will hardly see on any other woman. It could also be a reference to the omnipresent cycles of nature that we so often ignore.

Yes, the painting is very red. But what if the red is trying to tell you something, not in a whisper but clearly. 

In all my various attempts to write a text for 'Eva - Offen Und Sicher', I have written about my experiences as an adolescent woman, about the sexualization of female bodies, about the insecurity and fear one lives with as a woman at times and so on. 

At some point, I thought that these were my personal experiences that I was recapitulating. I had doubts as to whether I would even reach the point I was aiming for with this review. 

So one day in June at the Baltic Sea, I dared to attempt a look ahead. I wrote something like a poem that doesn't rhyme and that I don't even know if it is a poem. Read it here.
